At our three Curves clubs, we like to have lots of things going on. After all, Curves isn't just about working out, it is also about friends, community, and having fun! So, there have been many special activities and events that we carry out in our clubs, or participate in; everything from fund raising events for charity, to just-for-fun things in our clubs. Below is a list of events, past, present, and future, with a little bit of info about them, and links to pictures from those events!
Girls' Night Out is a fundraising event to raise money for Cancer Services, the Fisher-Titus Mamography Fund, the FMRC Foundation Cancer Fund andthe North Coast Cancer Foundation. This link leads to the webpage dedicated to the event.
Running throughout the Summer of 2006, Camp Curves is an activity where our members can join up with one of two teams in their club, and compete against each other as rival "Camps" in special activities. The members were asked to bring in camp related items, and the clubs were decorated to resemble a camp site with the borrowed things. Here are some pictures from our Norwalk (where teams "Skeeta Bites" and "Skinny-Ha Ha" are battling it out) and Sandusky clubs!
Every year, Curves clubs around the world participate in a food drive to collect non-perishible food items for local charity organizations. Our three clubs have collected literally thousands of pounds of food from our generous members! In addition, any new member who brings in a bag of items during this drive will have the sign-up fee waived!!! So check out the pictures of last year's drive in full swing!!!
Since Curves is a Women's Only fitness club, our husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, etc. might not understand what we do here for an hour and a half of every week. So, a night has been set aside for members to bring in the men in their lives, and not only show them what Curves is all about, but to also let them take a trip around the circuit. Not so easy as you think, is it fellas?
One of the fun things we like to do at Curves is have Dress-Up days. There's usually at least one per month, ranging everywhere from "Wear your Pajamas" to "Dress like a Rock Star". Well, what better day of the year than Halloween is there to dress up?
